Recruiting a Restaurant General Manager with stand-alone restaurant experience. The Restaurant General Manager functions as the strategic business leader of the property’s food and beverage operation, including Restaurants/Bars, Room Service and Banquets/Catering. This position oversees the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives. The ideal candidate will ensure the food and beverage/culinary operation meets the brand’s target customer needs, ensure employee satisfaction and focus on growing revenues and maximizing the financial performance of the department. The ideal candidate must be able to develop and implement property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and provide a return on investment to the owner and The Company. Desired qualifications include the following:

  • Proven work experience as an F&B Director or Restaurant General Manager
  • Serve as a Brand Ambassador and maintain integrity of brand standards and goals
  • Experience with clientele in creative sectors such as fashion, art and music
  • Establish restaurant business plan by surveying restaurant demand, conferring with people in the community, identifying and evaluating competitors, preparing financial evaluations, marketing and sales projections, analyses and estimates
  • Maintain guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings, initiating improvements and build relationships with preferred patrons
  • Accomplish restaurant and bar human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining staff
  • Communicate job expectations while planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions, planning and reviewing compensation actions, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures in compliance with health and legal regulations
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices and participating in professional societies 
  • Oversee the annual operating budget to achieve or exceed budget expectations for the operation while ensuring successful performance by maximizing profitability and providing a return on investment for the owners
  • Prior pre-opening experience
  • Prior experience in the Caribbean
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
  • Strong and motivational leader with multicultural experience
  • Solid knowledge in forecasting, budgeting, capital expenditures and labor management
  • Must be on call for emergencies
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MICROS and Opera

Salary range: US$80,000 -$100,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. Company will provide competitive health insurance, vacation package and Pension contributions.
